General information only
Everything on Day to Day Tools — every calculator, converter and article — is provided for general information and educational purposes. None of it is professional advice, and none of it takes account of your particular circumstances, because it cannot know them.
Health and fitness tools
The BMI calculator, water intake calculator and any other health tool provide estimates based on general population formulas. They are not medical advice and cannot diagnose, treat, cure or prevent anything.
- These formulas describe populations, not individuals, and misclassify some people badly — athletes and older adults especially.
- They cannot account for medical conditions, medications, pregnancy, disability or body composition.
- Speak to a doctor or registered dietitian before acting on any health figure, particularly before changing your diet, exercise or fluid intake.
- If you have a condition requiring fluid restriction, follow your clinician's guidance and disregard our hydration estimates entirely.
- Never delay seeking medical advice because of something you read here.
Financial tools
The loan calculator, compound interest calculator and related tools perform standard financial arithmetic. They are not financial advice and are not a quote, an offer or a prediction.
- Results exclude fees, taxes, insurance, early repayment charges and rate changes unless you enter them yourself.
- Lenders may calculate interest daily rather than monthly and round differently, so your statement may differ.
- Investment projections assume a constant return. Real markets do not behave that way, and investments can lose value.
- Past performance does not indicate future results.
- Speak to a qualified, regulated financial adviser before making a significant financial decision.
Date and deadline tools
The date difference calculator excludes weekends from business-day counts but does not account for public holidays, which vary by country and region. Legal, tax and contractual deadlines often have specific rules about how days are counted and whether deadlines roll forward. Verify any deadline that matters against the governing rules or with a qualified professional.
Security tools
The password generator uses your browser's cryptographic random number generator and does not transmit anything. However:
- A strong password does not protect an account on a compromised device.
- Crack-time estimates are illustrative, based on stated assumptions about attacker hardware, and should not be treated as a guarantee.
- We cannot guarantee the security of your device, browser, network or the services you use these passwords on.
- Enable two-factor authentication wherever it is offered.
Accuracy
We test the tools and correct errors quickly when they're found, but we do not warrant that every result is accurate or complete. Conversion factors, formulas and published guidance all change over time.
Verify independently anything that carries real consequences. If you find an error, please report it — accuracy reports are our highest priority.
