1. Who we are

Day to Day Tools (“we”, “us”) operates this website. For privacy questions or requests, contact hello@daytodaytools.online.

2. What the tools do with your data

Nothing you enter into a tool is sent to us. Every calculator, converter, text utility and image tool on this site runs entirely inside your browser using JavaScript. There is no server-side processing.

This means:

• Text pasted into the word counter or case converter never leaves your device.
• Images opened in the image resizer are read locally and never uploaded.
• Passwords generated are created by your browser and never transmitted or logged.
• Dates, weights, loan amounts and every other input stay on your device.

You can verify this: load a tool page, disconnect from the internet, and it still works.

3. What we store on your device

We use your browser's local storage for a small number of conveniences:

This data lives in your browser only. It is never transmitted to us and we cannot read it. Clearing your browser's site data removes all of it.

4. Advertising

This site is funded by advertising through Google AdSense. This is the one part of the site that involves a third party collecting data about you.

What Google does

• Google, as a third-party vendor, uses cookies to serve ads on this site.
• Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads based on your visits to this and other sites.
• Google may collect your IP address, browser type, device information, the pages you view, and interactions with ads.

What you control

• You may opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings.
• You may opt out of third-party vendors' use of cookies for personalised advertising at aboutads.info/choices or youronlinechoices.com.
• Consent is collected through Google's Consent Management Platform, certified under the IAB Transparency & Consent Framework. Visitors in the EEA, UK and Switzerland are asked before any advertising cookie is set.
• If you decline, ads still appear but are non-personalised, based on page content and general location, not on a profile of you.

Google's own handling of data is governed by the Google Privacy & Terms page.

5. Analytics

We use PostHog to understand which pages and tools people find useful. It loads only after you accept in the consent message, and nothing is requested from it before that. If you decline, no analytics script is ever fetched.

What it records on a page view:

• The page URL, path and title, and the referring site if there is one.
• Browser, browser version, operating system, device type, language, screen and window size.
• An approximate location derived from your IP address, which can include country, region, city and postal district. Your IP address is processed to do this.
• A randomly generated device identifier and session identifier, stored in your browser, so repeat visits can be counted without knowing who you are.
• Page performance measurements, so we can tell when the site is slow.

The one custom event we record: when you interact with a tool, we record that the tool was used. That event carries the tool's name and its category, for example "caffeine-calculator" and "health", and nothing else. It never carries a value you entered.

What is deliberately switched off:

• Session recording and replay. Off, and it will stay off. Several tools here handle invoice details, health information and personal finances, and recording those screens would be indefensible.
• Autocapture. Off. This is the feature that would otherwise record every click and the text of the element clicked, which on these tools would mean capturing input labels and values.
• Heatmaps and dead-click tracking. Off.
• Surveys. Off.

None of this changes the core promise: the numbers, text, images and files you put into the tools are processed in your browser and are never sent to us or to PostHog. Analytics tells us that a tool was opened and used. It does not tell us what you used it for.

PostHog processes this data on servers in the United States. You can withdraw consent at any time through the consent message, and browser-level Do Not Track and ad-blocking extensions will also prevent it loading.

6. Server logs

Our hosting provider records standard web server logs, IP address, timestamp, page requested, browser user agent, as a normal part of serving the site and protecting it from abuse. These are retained for a short period and are not used to build profiles.

7. What we do not do

• We do not require or offer accounts, and we do not hold user records.
• We do not collect email addresses except when you email us directly.
• We do not sell, rent or share personal data with anyone.
• We do not use fingerprinting, session recording or heatmap tools.
• We do not run email newsletters or retargeting campaigns.

8. Children

This site is intended for a general audience and is not directed at children under 13 (or under 16 in the EEA/UK). We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, contact us and we will delete it.

9. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Request correction or deletion of that data
• Object to or restrict processing
• Withdraw consent for cookies at any time
• Opt out of the “sale” or “sharing” of personal information (CCPA/CPRA. Note that advertising cookies may fall under this definition)
• Lodge a complaint with your data protection authority

Because we hold almost no personal data, most requests are answered by pointing you at the Google controls above and asking you to clear your browser's site data. Email hello@daytodaytools.online with “Privacy request” in the subject.

10. International visitors

The site is served from a global content delivery network. Advertising and analytics providers may process data in countries other than your own, including the United States, under the safeguards described in their own policies.

11. Changes

We'll update this page when our practices change, and the “last updated” date at the top will change with it. Material changes will be flagged on the site.
