Privacy Policy
The short version: the tools process everything locally in your browser and send us nothing. Advertising is the only part that involves third-party data collection, and you control it.

1. Who we are
Day to Day Tools (“we”, “us”) operates this website. For privacy questions or requests, contact hello@daytodaytools.online.
2. What the tools do with your data
Nothing you enter into a tool is sent to us. Every calculator, converter, text utility and image tool on this site runs entirely inside your browser using JavaScript. There is no server-side processing.
This means:
- Text pasted into the word counter or case converter never leaves your device.
- Images opened in the image resizer are read locally and never uploaded.
- Passwords generated are created by your browser and never transmitted or logged.
- Dates, weights, loan amounts and every other input stay on your device.
You can verify this: load a tool page, disconnect from the internet, and it still works.
3. What we store on your device
We use your browser's local storage for a small number of conveniences:
| What | Why | Kept for |
|---|---|---|
| Theme preference | Remembers light or dark mode | Until you clear site data |
| Word counter draft | Restores your text if the page reloads | Until you clear it or change it |
| Cookie consent choice | Stops us asking again | 180 days |
This data lives in your browser only. It is never transmitted to us and we cannot read it. Clearing your browser's site data removes all of it.
4. Advertising
This site is funded by advertising through Google AdSense. This is the one part of the site that involves a third party collecting data about you.
What Google does
- Google, as a third-party vendor, uses cookies to serve ads on this site.
- Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads based on your visits to this and other sites.
- Google may collect your IP address, browser type, device information, the pages you view, and interactions with ads.
What you control
- You may opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings.
- You may opt out of third-party vendors' use of cookies for personalised advertising at aboutads.info/choices or youronlinechoices.com.
- If you decline advertising cookies in our consent banner, ads still appear but are non-personalised — they are based on the page content and general location, not on a profile of you.
Google's own handling of data is governed by the Google Privacy & Terms page.
5. Analytics
Where analytics are enabled, we use them only to understand which pages are useful and where the site is slow — aggregate counts, not individual tracking. IP addresses are anonymised. Analytics cookies are only set if you accept them in the consent banner.
6. Server logs
Our hosting provider records standard web server logs — IP address, timestamp, page requested, browser user agent — as a normal part of serving the site and protecting it from abuse. These are retained for a short period and are not used to build profiles.
7. What we do not do
- We do not require or offer accounts, and we do not hold user records.
- We do not collect email addresses except when you email us directly.
- We do not sell, rent or share personal data with anyone.
- We do not use fingerprinting, session recording or heatmap tools.
- We do not run email newsletters or retargeting campaigns.
8. Children
This site is intended for a general audience and is not directed at children under 13 (or under 16 in the EEA/UK). We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, contact us and we will delete it.
9. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Request correction or deletion of that data
- Object to or restrict processing
- Withdraw consent for cookies at any time
- Opt out of the “sale” or “sharing” of personal information (CCPA/CPRA — note that advertising cookies may fall under this definition)
- Lodge a complaint with your data protection authority
Because we hold almost no personal data, most requests are answered by pointing you at the Google controls above and asking you to clear your browser's site data. Email hello@daytodaytools.online with “Privacy request” in the subject.
10. International visitors
The site is served from a global content delivery network. Advertising and analytics providers may process data in countries other than your own, including the United States, under the safeguards described in their own policies.
11. Changes
We'll update this page when our practices change, and the “last updated” date at the top will change with it. Material changes will be flagged on the site.
